According to Shashi Sinha, Govinda’s aide, there is nothing wrong with Govinda. “He is out of danger and doing well. The incident happened when he was just on the verge of flying off to Kolkata. He kept the revolver duly in the almirah but it fell on the floor. While moving the gun, there was an accidental firing. There is an injury of the left knee foot. The bullet has been removed now. His daughter Tina is at the hospital. He is speaking to everyone and he is fine.”

Tina Ahuja, daughter of Govinda, told indianexpress.com, “Currently I am with Papa in the ICU. I am not in a position to talk much as of now…I only want to assure you that Papa’s health is much better now. After the bullet injury, papa underwent surgery, and it was successful. All tests have been completed by the doctors, and the reports are good.”

“There is a policy that he will be kept in the ICU for 24 hours. After they will examine him for this duration of 24 hours and will decide on whether or not to keep him in the ICU. There is continuous surveillance on the health of papa and there is no cause for concern.”

The actor has not filed any complaint with the police. Inputs from the family indicate they will make some statements concerning the said incident.
